TPLO surgery changes the angle between the thigh bone and the shin bone. The goal is to lessen how much the tibia shifts forward during a stride and it is achieved through an incision, rotation of the tibia, and then insertion of a bone plate. TPLO surgery helps create a stifle (knee) that is stable without the torn cruciate ligament. The medial meniscus is also evaluated at the time of surgery and if torn removed. At times, a releasing incision of the meniscus is done to help prevent a future tear.

Acupuncture has been used in human medicine for over 5,000 years and in animals for over 3,000 years. Properly administered by our highly trained veterinarians, acupuncture is one of the safest forms of medical treatment for pets suffering from a wide range of conditions. 

Underwater treadmill therapy is a structured rehabilitation modality that provides low‑impact, resistance‑based exercise to support dogs during post‑injury and post‑operative recovery. By using water buoyancy to reduce weight-bearing forces, dogs can safely rebuild strength, improve range of motion, and restore functional mobility. It is commonly incorporated after orthopedic procedures such as cruciate ligament repair or fracture stabilization, as well as in rehabilitation plans for arthritis and chronic mobility limitations. The controlled setting allows veterinarians and rehabilitation teams to precisely adjust water depth and treadmill speed to promote proper gait retraining, targeted muscle activation, neuromuscular coordination, and cardiovascular conditioning. Underwater treadmill therapy is also used as part of ongoing rehabilitation and supportive care for conditions including IVDD, degenerative myelopathy (DM), fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE), and Wobbler syndrome, helping dogs maintain mobility and quality of movement over time.

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted acoustic waves to help manage pain and support healing in soft tissues. In veterinary medicine, it is commonly used for pain relief associated with osteoarthritis, as well as for soft tissue injuries involving tendons, ligaments, and muscles. The sound waves stimulate local blood flow and cellular activity in the treated area, decrease pain signaling, and support the body's natural repair processes. When used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, shockwave therapy can improve comfort and mobility over time and is often incorporated into rehabilitation and post-operative care under veterinary guidance.
