Our Veterinary Services

Medical oncology teams within our Thrive Pet Healthcare community work closely with referring and primary care veterinarians to provide advanced cancer treatment for pets. Your pet’s oncology team can perform a thorough evaluation, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostics to gain a deep understanding of the disease behavior. From there, a personalized treatment plan will be determined to treat or manage your pet’s cancer.
Learn More About Medical Oncology

Chemotherapy is a valuable form of treatment for many types of cancer in dogs and cats. Depending on the type of cancer, chemotherapy can be used alone, following surgery or radiation therapy, or as a palliative care option to alleviate symptoms.
There are several options for both the type of chemotherapy used and the way in which it is administered; the course of treatment is tailored to each patient and their caregiver’s situation.

Radiation therapy uses a beam of energy focused at the tumor region to gradually eliminate cancer cells, and is often used in conjunction with surgery and/or chemotherapy.
There are a variety of options for radiation treatment, including Definitive Radiation Therapy, Palliative Radiation Therapy, Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and Strontium-90 Plesiotherapy. A pet’s chosen therapy is decided based on several factors for which your oncology team will discuss.

With knowledge, experience, and access to the most technologically advanced medical equipment, we provide cutting-edge care, quickly identifying and treating a wider range of cancers in a greater number of patients. We ensure our team members remain up to date on the latest innovations in veterinary oncology, utilizing advanced equipment to save the lives of pets with cancer.

Veterinary acupuncture is a therapy used to relieve pain and muscle spasms, and to increase nerve regeneration and blood circulation. During medical acupuncture for animals, slim, sterile needles are applied to specific points on the pet's body, leading to clinically proven improvements in comfort and function of muscles, organs, and nerves.

Animal chiropractic treatments are a form of manual therapy focused on manipulating the pet's joints and spine to provide greater alignment of the body. By receiving these adjustments, pets can experience a reduction in pain, greater balance, and stronger mobility. Chiropractic treatment can help alleviate symptoms stemming from several neurological and orthopedic conditions.

We will be by your side during this time of need to offer both medical assistance and emotional support.

We want you to feel supported when making difficult decisions around your pet’s health.
