Eye Care for Animals Palm Desert, a new clinic focused on diagnosing and treating complex eye conditions in pets.
Eye Care for Animals Palm Desert operates within Desert Veterinary Specialists at 42065 Washington St., Suite D1. This facility provides top-notch veterinary ophthalmology services to Palm Desert and the surrounding Coachella Valley communities.

About Richard Pytak III, DVM, DACVO
Dr. Richard Pytak is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist with specialized training in diagnosing and treating eye conditions in animals.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2016 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis, in 2021. He completed a small animal rotating internship at Michigan State University before pursuing advanced ophthalmology training with Eye Care for Animals.
Dr. Pytak completed his residency in Wheeling, Illinois, and Reno, Nevada, and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2025. He currently practices at Eye Care for Animals in Upland, California.
