Just like people, our beloved pets need routine vaccinations, boosters, and diagnostic tests as part of proactive wellness. Thrive Plus helps you more easily access the care that protects your pet against infections, parasites, and diseases, leading to a happier and healthier life.

We understand that the cost of pet care can add up, so we want to help support you and your pet. We have two plans available for you to choose from: Thrive Plus and Thrive Plus Total Wellness.

Thrive Plus is a smart and affordable yearlong subscription for high-quality preventive care for your beloved pet! It covers services for pets at different ages and with different care needs, designed to give you peace of mind that your pet has access to quality care whenever it’s needed.

Thrive Plus Total Wellness includes all of the same benefits as Thrive Plus, but also includes 20% off services, 10% off in-hospital prescriptions, and annual recommended vaccinations and diagnostics are 100% included. This plan is a smarter, easier way to stay on top of your pet's health.

Membership is different from insurance. Both Thrive membership-based pet health and wellness programs are specifically related to examination fees and discounts on veterinary services. Thrive Plus can be a complement to insurance to reduce out-of-pocket expenses. All dogs and cats are eligible to join Thrive Plus or Thrive Plus Total Wellness regardless of age or preexisting condition and Thrive Plus discounts services insurance may not cover.

Both Thrive Plus and Thrive Plus Total Wellness require an annual membership commitment. Members can choose to pay their annual subscription either monthly or once annually. The annual plan is priced at approximately a one-month discount. Costs vary by location, which you can see on our enrollment page.

The initial term is 12 months, starting on the date of sign-up. After 12 months, the membership will automatically renew for another 12-month term.

The fee is per pet.

You would need to enroll each pet separately with different email addresses. This is not recommended. Ideally, all pets are enrolled under one account with one email and one credit card.

This program is only currently designed for cats and dogs. Since many of our Thrive Pet Healthcare partner hospitals offer small mammal, avian, exotic, equine, and large animal care, we are working to expand our program benefits in the future.

There are no limits to the number of dogs and cats you can enroll in Thrive Plus. You will just add a new plan for each pet. At only a low monthly fee per pet, we recommend signing each cat or dog up in your household to help support their annual health needs and save you larger investments over time.

Thrive Plus and Thrive Plus Total Wellness are available for all your dogs and cats. Each membership plan is valid for one pet for a year of free exams, discounted services, and more. If you have two pets, you must sign up for two membership plans.

Yes, membership plans are unique per pet. You are welcome to sign one pet up for Thrive Plus if that is the level of care needed. For any pet that needs a higher level of care, Thrive Plus Total Wellness is recommended. Each membership plan is valid for one pet. If you have two pets, you must sign up for two membership plans.

Free exams apply to general practice exams only, and hospital fees may apply. 

Although your general practice exams fees are free, members (and non-members) pay a $9.99 clinical support fee that cannot be discounted. This fee helps us maintain the level of care that pets and their families have come to value, while also providing our team members with the support they need.  

The $5 basic nail trims apply to basic nail trims only, which is what most nail trims fall under. Any electric grind or advanced nail treatments would be charged at the normal fee minus a 10% services discount. If you have questions about whether your pet’s nail trim would apply, please contact your local hospital directly. 

The discount applies to prescriptions filled in-hospital only. It does not apply to prescriptions ordered through online pharmacy.

Some services may not be appropriate in every case, and results can vary for each pet. While we offer a wide range of wellness benefits, availability may differ by location, and certain outcomes cannot be guaranteed. 

Thrive Plus Total Wellness is currently available at select locations only and benefits are limited to these locations in the Boston, San Diego, and Florida regions. 

The cancellation fee will be waived if moving more than 50 miles from a Thrive Plus participating hospital. 

Yes. If you currently have Thrive Plus and wish to upgrade to Thrive Plus Total Wellness, you can do so via the mobile app and Pet Portal. Navigate to Thrive Plus Membership on the left menu, then select “Upgrade” on the pet you would like to upgrade to Thrive Plus Total Wellness.  

At this time, there isn’t a way to switch from Thrive Plus Total Wellness back to Thrive Plus. 

Thrive Plus and Thrive Plus Total Wellness are annual membership commitments. We hope you take full advantage of the unlimited free exams and discounts to keep your furry friend happy and healthy. However, if you’re not satisfied after one year, you can cancel via the mobile app or Pet Portal. Note that membership is an annual program, and you will be required to fulfill the contract or pay a cancellation fee. See T&Cs here.  

The cancellation fee is the remaining commitment period balance. For example, if canceled on the 9th month of enrollment, the cancellation fee will be for the three months remaining on the membership.  

Please contact your hospital to alert them. Membership will be canceled without cancellation fees starting the following month of the billing period after we are first notified. 

Yes! Pets are eligible to receive discounted benefits on the same day that they are enrolled. You will receive a confirmation email upon enrollment which you can also share with your hospital. 

Membership plans are not transferable between pets or clients.  

Benefits are applied automatically at checkout. 

Member discounts cannot be stacked with other discounts, except for special promotional offers where we will expressly state the membership discount is in addition to the promotion. Members can take advantage of product rebates through vendors.
